The Dave School offers intensive career training in Computer Animation for Film, Television, Gaming, and more. Located on the back lot of Universal Studios Florida in Sound Stage 25. They have 16,000 square foot facility including 3 labs, a shooting stage with a 65'x 25' green screen, and a state of the art motion capture system. We had so much shooting behind the scene of their programs and especially enjoyed the tour of the school.

What A Pro Captures versus What An Amateur Shoots

The assumption right now is if you have a camera, love taking pictures, you can photograph anything any time. And I don't just hear this from the consumers; I hear it from seasoned professionals as well. So many people have bought into the theory that if you have a camera, you can be a professional.

Isn't that just like saying if you have a plunger, you can be a professional plumber? Or if you have a toothbrush you can be a dentist?

Having the love, desire and passion for photography is your starting point. Then it moves up from there.

You have to know your camera inside and out, be able to shoot in any condition without thinking about it - you just know how to set your camera/flash to get the best image possible.

You have to have the best equipment possible for your circumstances. Multiple professional grade bodies, multiple lenses, flash units - whatever you need to do the best job possible.

You have to know the business side of photography. You have to be good at everything - photography, production, sales, marketing, planning. It all makes you a better photographer, and presents you that way to your potential customers.

And you have to be willing to keep learning along the way. I talk to photographers all the time that swore they would retire before they ever had to use new technology (i.e. digital, social networking, website marketing, etc) and now they are some of the best in the industry. Things change. And you have to change with it. That's just the way it is.

And finally, you have to be willing to pay for the best, and know when to call in an expert to help you get exactly what you want. Just like you would never have a friend put in a crown over a broken tooth, you should never call in a friend to photograph one of the most important days of your life.

We were very excited to be part of documenting the Orlando facilities , which will be use for a book publication. 2008 High School Senior Reps

We are very excited to have started working with our 2008 Senior Reps. Last weekend we went on location for a photo session of Jasmin and Valentina, seniors at Colonial High School. Both girls were wonderful to take pictures of, they are truly super stars. I can't wait to show them all the amazing pictures we took of them! Elena and I had the awesome pleasure of going out and doing some shots for this rising band. Gravity's Edge preformed at Boomerz in St Pete. These guys rocked the house!Their music is modern and edgy and keeps you wanting more. Gravity's Edge will be in studio for the next few months working on their upcoming new cd release. We went out to take promo pictures for an event Son Tropical was playing on Saturday night at Zamba Room. This band has been playing for over five years at Live Events,Weddings,Corporate Events,and has played for a long list of clients like American Express, Hewlett Packard, IBM, UPS, Hispanic and Woman Chamber of Commerce, Aetna Health Care, Dunn and Bradstreet, and Nascar. BESPOKE BOUTIQUE HAIR SALON MODEL NIGHT SHOOT

Last night we went out to take pictures of BESPOKE BOUTIQUE for Hair Model Night. BESPOKE BOUTIQUE is a made to individual order custom hair designs salon. The Owner Fernando Diaz has an Educators background in Hair and has worked for a British Company as an educator before he opened his own salon. BESPOKE BOUTIQUE will be having Model Nights every two months to go over new hair collection lines. Last night they had two models that Fernando and Stephanie another, hairstylist,from the salon worked on. The Models hair came out amazing and it reflected in the photo shoot. Kelmar Studios is happy we got to the opportunity to capture the night and all the wonderful new hair collection BESPOKE worked on. We are looking forward to continuing working with BESPOKE BOUTIQUE. You might wonder, whatʼs the concept behind our name Kelmar Studios?

We went back and forth trying to decide on a name that would fit our company. We wanted something that would be dear to us and what can mean more to us than Marlisse and Kelsie. (Elena's daughters) Thatʼs what makes us Kelmar Studios. We wanted Marlisse and Kelsie to know just how special they are to us and what a true gift they have been in our life's. Theyʼre both very unique in their own ways. Marlisse is the free spirit fashion girl and I have to say has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. Sheʼs grown up into such a beautiful young lady. I could remember her in diapers as if it was still yesterday. We have to say that weʼre very proud of her for passing 5th grade and wish her a great new year of school. What can I say about Kelsie but cuteness! She reminds me so much of Elena as a little girl. She has her same beautiful smile that could lighten up a room. Kelsie is our little model and she is not afraid to show it. She will be starting Kindergarten in August. We can't wait to see what's going to be her next new adventure. Marlisse and Kelsie are the joys of our lives and the true meaning of love for us!

Yesterday, we finished our promotion video with One I Productions. I have to say we were impressed and happy with how the day went. When we started of the day Elena and I were both nervous to be on camera but Annie our Director did such an amazing job at helping us calm down and enjoy the interview. Later that day, we went on location to do a session on our senior model Jeanell. They made us and the model feel comfortable while recording. LAST OF THE 2008 SENIORS

This was the last week of our senior shoot for 2008. We had a blast with all of them,everyone of them had something unique about them and we are very happy they choose KELMAR STUDIOS to capture such special moment in Their life! We want to say CONGRATS TO ALL AND WISH YOU ALL THE BRIGHTEST FUTURE. Here are our last two Senior sessions with Jennifer and Lizmar. Jennifer was a joy to work with,we did two separate days with her ,one with a glamorous look in Downtown and the other in studio for more of a casual look. I can't wait to show her how beautiful she came out.We want to thank Aileen and Kristen for all their help in the shoots we had so much fun with you girls! We also got the opportunity to cover Lizmar Graduation party, she looked beautiful in her dress and definitely had a blast in her party she danced all night with her friends and we captured it all!
